Like many people in the wargaming community, I learned of Donald Featherstone's death this morning, a piece of news which saddened me.
My only connection to Donald is through the books he wrote and which I have in my collection. These books brought many, many hours of pleasure into my life. Thank you, Donald, for the the hours of enjoyment your books delivered. You will be missed.
Well said Chris, RIP Donald.
ReplyDeleteRIP Mr Featherstone, nice one Chris.
ReplyDeleteVery well said, indeed.
ReplyDeleteDamn you, Grim Reaper! Leave our memories alone!
ReplyDeleteDF was my entry into wargaming when I was very young (under 10, methinks) which led me to meet up with the wargamer who introduced me to AD&D. So in a way, he's the reason I'm here writing this now.
I was at a military wargaming conference and the majority of the senior wargamers were there because of Don
