I've been away from home for over a week, so I've not gotten any painting done recently. I did, however, take a trip to the Art Institute of Chicago Museum this afternoon. While in the museum shop, I spotted a small bin full of...Dragons. So I picked up two of them, one red...
and one green...
These will of course be used for Song of Blades and Heroes -- I'm sure I'll be itching to set up and play a game once I'm back home and recovered from the 9-10 hour drive. They're sold by a company called PAPO, of whom I had not heard before.
I also went to a game store during my visit here in Chicago (the Chicagoland Games Dice Dojo), and picked up the "Princess and Dragon" expansion for Carcassonne. While my wife has no interest in fantasy wargames or rpgs, she does really like to play board games like Talisman and the old TSR Dungeon! We already play Carcassonne, so this purchase seemed a quick and easy way to slip yet another fantasy item onto our boardgaming table.
Nice to see the things you got while away. That's always fun. And it's part of what make blogging fun, to share that stuff.
ReplyDeletePS: Glad you enjoy Tim's take on the Wonder Woman quiz. Steve cracks him up, each time we watch an episode.
Actually, I've been really enjoying your Wonder Woman posts -- when I was a kid, I used to watch it all the time with my folks. It's quite the nostalgia trip -- I may have to start renting some disks and watching again!
ReplyDeleteIt's a hoot to watch. You'll love re-watching Steven in action. He's just so dumb. Tim likes the one where he gets his truck stuck and Wonder Woman has to help him. Just good TV.
