Fantasy Trip? French Street Signs Encountered on Vacation

Some street signs encountered on my visit to France...

Halberd Street

Shield Street

The Dragon's Hotel

The Executioner's Tower

Torture Street

Hell's Cul-de-Sac

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*Dragon in French can mean either "Dragon" or "Dragoon" depending on context. Given the family name of one of the Hotel's early owners in the 15th century -- Drachenfels ("Dragon's Rock") -- I suspect it is indeed "Dragon," in this case, not "Dragoon."
  1. There's a Court of the Dragon in Paris between Rue du Dragon and Rue de Rennes.
    1. I was not aware of that -- I'll have to add that to my photo collection on my next trip to Paris! :)
