RPG Profile

I recenlty ran (online): A Swords & Wizardry White Box campaign called "The West Kingdom."

Tabletop RPGs I'm currently playing (online) include: Blood and Treasure set in Ken H's Montporte Megadungeon and Rob C's playtest version of his Majestic Wilderlands Fudge-based rules

I would especially like to play/run: Swords and Wizardry (White Box or Core), Delving Deeper, or Labyrinth Lord (any of them as a GM), any OSR retroclone (as a player)

...but would also try: anything (as a player)

Well-known RPG products other people made that I like: Majestic Wilderlands (Rob Conley), Knowledge Illuminates, The Manor (Tim Shorts), Weird Adventures (Trey Causey), Loviatar (Christian Walker), Blasphemous Brewery of Pilz (Dylan Hartwell), Tricks, Empty Rooms & Basic Trap Design (Courtney Campbell), Beyond the Black Gate Compendium (Al Krombach), Dungeon Alphabet (Michael Curtis), Treasure Book on Demand (Mark Hassman).

Fantasy books I like: The Hobbit/Lord of the Rings (Tolkein), The Face in the Frost (Bellairs), Conan Short Story Collections (Howard)

Medieval/Fantasy movies I like: The 13th Warrior, Season of the Witch, Lord of the Rings, Ironclad, Arn, Black Death, Conan the Barbarian (Schwarzie version, first movie only), 300.

Best place to find me on-line: The Clash of Spear on Shield (my blog)

I will read almost anything on tabletop RPGs if it's: more focused "adventure gaming" rather than "character study" ("dungeons not characters")

I really do not want to hear about: Edition Wars. If you enjoy it, play it. I'm not going to try and convince you you're "wrong."

Dead orc babies are: non-existent in my campaigns because orcs are asexual creatures spawned ritually by demons or evil wizards in full adult form

Free RPG Content I made for any OSR game is available here: Dødsbakken (Viking-themed one-page dungeon)

  1. Thanks for mention of Weird Adventures--though I don't know if it qualifies as "well-known." :)

    1. Well if it's not it should be!

But I know so little, if I know it, it must be well known!

  2. I'm very curious as to what you will run Chris. Looking forward to that day. And thanks for mention.
