You know, skype is another option I've thought about but my schedule the past year or two has been really yucky (work-wise), so I've hesitated to go that route for fear of letting down other players by an inability to play regularly. But it looks like by the end of the coming school year things will settle down, and I plan to look into the skype option as well, since it sounds like it really works well for a lot of people.

Hope you're not working too hard on Etsy and other stuff (unless it's work you enjoy, in which case, go for it!). You have a groovy day too!Chris C.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08655640273250716377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3745950328336574574.post-66480626701584443782011-08-03T09:52:37.620-04:002011-08-03T09:52:37.620-04:00Hey Bard. At the beginning, I'm fired up and impatient at how slow things are moving, and after a while I lose interest due to the pace, and I've come back to find games that were waiting on my input to continue.DocStouthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13239520630901083975noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3745950328336574574.post-882861285695322992011-08-02T07:17:37.964-04:002011-08-02T07:17:37.964-04:00If it's something you think you'd enjoy, y...If it's something you think you'd enjoy, you definitely should give it a go. The nice things about all the OSR rules is that they're pretty easy to get your head around, and many of them (such as LL, for example) are available for free online. My suggestion, if you think pbp would interest you, is to do as I did, check out some ongoing games, and if you like what you see, look over the "gamer gathering" listing for GMs starting up new games and looking for players. They let you know what kind of campaign they're running (for example, sandbox), how often they expect players to post, and so on. Then you just join the forum and ask the GM (maybe including a little about yourself, gaming experience and expectations, etc. -- you can see my request to enter the game at the link in the post).

If you were thinking about trying to get into the game I just entered, even better! I believe you'd make a stout adventuring companion.Chris C.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08655640273250716377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3745950328336574574.post-14420169630443594962011-08-02T04:05:13.870-04:002011-08-02T04:05:13.870-04:00Might actually do that but I have never D&D...Might actually do that but I have never D&D'd before? The Angry Lurkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01227314379603418332noreply@blogger.com
